A coworker recommended I use Embark as she was impressed with the results of her rescue. I researched different kinds of DNA tests and found this one to be really good. I was right! Embark gave us very accurate results and results the rescue was right about. Among that, we found out he has a mix of other dog breeds in him as well. His main breed is a small Poodle. Embark gives you a breakdown of each breed (history and traits about them), breed stats, care resources, DNA relatives, and research surveys. The amount of information we got was worth our money and we couldn’t have been happier.

Here is an example of a feature I personally loved the most. Beau’s Family Tree!

The benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for your pet!

It all begins with an idea.

Does your dog or cat lick their fur or scratch and you can’t figure out why they do it all the time? As we know Apple Cider Vinegar has many benefits from cleaning household items to taking it internally for humans, but did you know it also has benefits for dogs and cats? Here is a list of benefits you will want to know for next time when your pet is constantly scratching and licking their fur.

Natural flea killer

As we know Apple Cider Vinegar is very acidic and creates an alkaline environment, increasing the PH levels. This repels bacteria and viruses like in humans and repels fleas in pets.

Natural ear cleaner

ACV is a very good antibacterial for many things including your dog or cat's ears. It rids bacteria that could be living on your pet's skin and is completely safe on the ears.

Coat treatments

Let’s say your dog or cat doesn’t have any skin conditions well ACV is still great for the skin and fur. It keeps the coat looking nice and shiny, bringing it back to life. It prevents the coat from shedding dander as well.

Preventing UTI’’s

ACV has antiseptic and antibacterial properties that make it effective at preventing infections including UTIs. This is especially great for dogs more prone to urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Digestive Health

Apple Cider Vinegar like we said creates an alkaline environment and so therefore helps to digest food. It is recommended to put a little bit of ACV in your dog or cat's water to aid in digestion.

Note: When giving your pet ACV it is best to mix 50/50 of ACV and water when taking it internally. From personal experience, I noticed it is better for intake purposes as it is less harsh on the stomach.
